KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan increased amid buying frenzy in the international market and reached Rs 359,700 per tola on July 14.
After the latest changes, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 1600 to Rs 359,700, while the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 1371 to Rs 308,384. The latest increase came when the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 1100 to close at Rs 358,100.
The increase in local prices comes at a time when the price of gold continues to increase internationally. On Monday, the price of gold rose by $ 16 to $ 3372 per ounce globally. Silver prices also showed an upward trend. The price per tola increased by Rs 65, taking the new price to Rs 4087.
Bullion watchers attribute the price increase to investors’ growing interest in safe-haven assets amid ongoing global economic uncertainty. Gold continues to act as a hedge against inflation and currency fluctuations, with further price movements likely in the near future.
