Gold price increases Rs1,680 per tola in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Amid rising global prices, gold prices in Pakistan’s local market recorded an increase on Saturday and reached an all-time high.

According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 1,680, with the new rate set at Rs 325,000. Similarly, the price of 10 grams increased by Rs 1,389 to close at Rs 278,635 on the last day of the trading week.

The price of the precious commodity in the international market saw an increase of $ 10, where it was sold at $ 3,084 per ounce.

The ongoing trade war between leading economies, rising global inflation and the threat of devaluation of major global currencies following the tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump have increased the demand for gold. A day ago, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,380 to Rs 323,380. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 10. It set a new record of Rs 2,041. 277,246.
