ISLAMABAD: The price of gold in the country fell on the first day of the business week.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, gold per tola became cheaper by Rs 3,200, the new price was Rs 523,762.
Similarly, 10 grams of gold became cheaper by Rs 2,743, the new price was Rs 449,041. On the other hand, a big decline was seen in the price of gold in the global market today.
Gold prices fell by 1.1 percent today to $ 4,988.04 per ounce, while US gold contracts for April were settled at $ 5,006.60 per ounce with a decrease of 0.8 percent.
It should be remembered that on the last business day in Pakistan, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 7,000, while the price per ounce increased by $ 70 in the global market.
