Govt raises light diesel price, cuts kerosene rate

ISLAMABAD: After petrol and high-speed diesel last night, the government has also increased the price of light diesel, while reducing the price of kerosene.

According to Express News, according to the notification issued by OGRA, other petroleum products have become more expensive; however, kerosene has been reduced by Rs 4.45.

According to the notification, the new price of kerosene has been set at Rs 360.76 per liter.

On the other hand, after increasing the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel last night, the government has increased the price of light diesel by Rs 17.3 per liter this morning. According to the notification, the new price of light diesel has been set at Rs 287.54 per liter.

It should be noted that yesterday the government once again increased the price of petrol and high-speed diesel; a notification was also issued by the Petroleum Division in this regard.

A notification issued by the Petroleum Division last night stated that the government has revised the prices of petroleum products, which will come into effect from 12 midnight on May 1.

According to the notification, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 19.39 per liter, after which the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs 399.58.

Similarly, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 6.51 per liter to Rs 399.86 per liter.
