Govt takes notice of issues in wheat purchase and sale

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet took notice of the issues faced regarding wheat purchase and sale and formed a cabinet committee on the matter.

According to the details, a meeting of the federal cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The meeting approved the recommendations of the cabinet committee formed to review the Hajj Policy 2027-2030, and directed the Ministry of Religious Affairs and private Hajj operators to formulate an accountability system.

The federal cabinet approved the handover of the construction and development of the low-cost housing project to the CDA. A low-cost housing project will be built for the residents of Farash Town and slums in Islamabad.

Approval was given to conduct the departmental development examinations of Pakistan Customs through FPSC, and the federal cabinet ratified the decisions of the Legislative Committee dated April 29, 2026.
The Economic Coordination Committee was directed to seek its opinion on the amendment to the Tobacco Marketing Control Rules.
