IESCO notifies power suspension programme

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Friday issued a power suspension programme for Saturday in various areas of its region due to necessary maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the electricity supply in Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 11:00 am in areas fed by Khana Dak, Burma, Waheedabad, Rehman Enclave, Khanna East, Khanna-II/Qadeer Road, Al Noor Colony, Shareefabad, Ghouri Garden, Scheme-I, Fazal Rehbar, New PTN and MG Steel feeders.
In Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, the power supply will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 11:00 am in areas connected with Old Rawat, New Rawat, AOWHS, Suparco and CWO feeders. Similarly, from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, electricity will remain unavailable in areas served by New Mandra, Old Mandra, LTC, Hamid Jhangi, NPF-I, NPF-II, Doctor Town, PWD-I, PWD-II, Rehmatabad-I, Chaklala, Takbeer-I, Takbeer-II, Takbeer-III and Kot Jabbi feeders.
Under Rawalpindi City Circle, the power supply will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm in COB Lane, Askari-XI and Cheering Cross areas, while from 7:00 am to 11:00 am outages will affect Katarian, Banni, Dhok Chaudhrian, Peshawar Road, PAF, Millatabad, NRC, Sector-IV and APHS feeders.
In Attock Circle, the electricity supply will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 11:00 am in Attock Cantt, Dhoke Fateh, Dar ul Islam Colony, Katchery, Attock Rural, Teen Mela and Bagh Nelab feeders.
Similarly, in Jhelum Circle, the power outages from 7:00 am to 11:00 am will affect areas linked with Hayat Sir Road, New Sanghoi, Chotala, Khai Khulia, City Housing, Sanghoi, Safdar Shaheed, Nathwal and Langar Pur feeders.
In Chakwal Circle, the power supply will remain suspended from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm in Jamalwal and Mengan feeders.
Under GSO Circle, electricity supply from Azad Pattan feeder will remain suspended from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, while outages from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm will affect areas connected with GBC-III, GBHP, Power Channels 1 to 4, Lawrancepur, Khanzada, Shafi Chouhan and NASTP feeders.
The spokesperson further said that from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, the electricity supply would remain suspended in F-8/2, F-8, Citizen Club, PAF-2, Bahria University, PAF Hospital, PAF Hospital B&C, PAF Falcon Market and PNS Hafeez Hospital areas.
Likewise, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, outages will affect Barazi, Radio Pak-1, Shamsabad, Ghourghusti, Shahdair, Hattian, Miskeenabad and Musa feeders.
From 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, the power supply will remain suspended on 132-KV Chakwal-Bhagwal-Talagang and 132-KV Kahuta City-Palandri transmission lines and adjoining areas.
The IESCO management has apologized to its esteemed customers for the power outage. If the work is completed ahead of time, the power supply can be restored even before the scheduled time, they said.
