KARACHI: The government has also increased the price of kerosene by Rs 11.19 per liter after the petrol and diesel price hike, according to media reports.
According to the notification issued, the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs 242.33 per liter.
Earlier, the price of kerosene per liter was Rs 231.14. After the implementation of the new prices, there will also be an additional financial burden on consumers using kerosene.
The federal government has announced an increase in petroleum prices across Pakistan following a rise in international crude oil prices. The government said the impact of higher global oil prices will be passed on to consumers through revised fuel rates.
Under the new notification, petrol has been increased by Rs13.18 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs13.80 per litre.
The government stated that the revision was made in line with the increase in global crude oil prices.
The new fuel prices have come into effect immediately and are expected to increase transportation costs as well as the prices of various goods and services across the country.
