Kerosene price slashed again

ISLAMABAD: The government has slashed the price of kerosene once again in the early morning.

According to a notification issued by the government, kerosene has been reduced by Rs 41.80 per liter. The new price of kerosene has become Rs 318.96 per liter, which will be effective from today. Earlier, the price of kerosene was Rs 360.76 per liter.

It should be remembered that last week too, the price of kerosene was reduced by Rs 4.45 per liter.

On the other hand, the government once again dropped a petrol bomb on the public late last night. According to a new notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 14.92 per liter, after which the new price of petrol has been set at Rs 414.78 per liter.

Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel was also increased by 15, after the price increase, the price of high-speed diesel has reached Rs 414.58 per liter. According to the Petroleum Division, the decision to increase the price of petrol and diesel was taken after consultation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, the government has once again increased the petroleum levy. The levy on petrol per liter was increased by Rs 13.91, the levy on diesel was also increased by Rs 13.91, the levy on petrol was increased from Rs 103.50 to Rs 117.41 per liter. The levy on diesel was increased from Rs 28.69 to Rs 42.60 per liter.

The government has also imposed a carbon levy on furnace oil. A carbon levy of Rs 2,665 per ton has been imposed on furnace oil.
