ISLAMABAD: Solar panel prices in Pakistan continue to vary depending on the city, local market conditions, and dealers, making it important for consumers to compare rates before purchasing a solar system.

According to the latest market rates, A-grade documented solar panels are being sold in Islamabad for Rs40 to Rs46 per watt, while in Rawalpindi prices range between Rs39 and Rs45 per watt.

In Lahore and Multan, A-grade documented solar panels are available for Rs38 to Rs44 per watt. Meanwhile, consumers in Quetta and Peshawar can expect to pay Rs40 to Rs45 per watt.

In Faisalabad, solar panel prices range from Rs39 to Rs44 per watt, while Karachi offers some of the lowest prices in the country, with A-grade documented panels available between Rs37 and Rs43 per watt.

City-Wise Solar Panel Prices in Pakistan

City Price (Rs per Watt)
Karachi 37 – 43
Lahore 38 – 44
Multan 38 – 44
Rawalpindi 39 – 45
Faisalabad 39 – 44
Islamabad 40 – 46
Peshawar 40 – 45
Quetta 40 – 45

Market experts say the price differences are mainly due to supply chain costs, transportation expenses, and access to wholesale markets. Karachi, being the country’s largest commercial hub with easier access to importers and wholesalers, often offers lower prices than other major cities. In contrast, transportation and logistics costs can increase prices in cities such as Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta.
