ISLAMABAD: There is a possibility of big good news for the people across the country, where the government is considering a major reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

According to sources, the summary regarding the price reduction will be sent to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today, after which the final announcement is expected at night.

According to a report by media, government officials have indicated that a decision is being made to provide relief to the people due to the reduction in oil prices in the global market and the improvement in the economic conditions at the local level.

It is being shown that the prices of petrol, diesel and other products will be reduced significantly, which will provide some relief to the people burdened by inflation.

Government sources say that the aim of this measure is not only to provide relief to the people but also to promote economic activities. The reduction in the prices of petroleum products will reduce transport costs, which may have a positive impact on the prices of food items and other necessities of life.

It should be remembered that in recent months, continuous fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products were seen, which severely affected the people. However, now with the expected reduction, it is hoped that inflation will decrease to some extent and the people will get immediate relief.
