New currency notes not expected by Eid: SBP Governor

ISLAMABAD: The Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan has informed whether the new currency design notes will be available on Eid or not.

Governor of the State Bank Jamil Ahmed says that the printing of new currency notes will be done after the approval of the cabinet.

He said that the new currency design notes will not be available on Eid, the Governor of the State Bank said that there is a strict monetary policy agreement with the International Monetary Fund.

He said that six billion dollars have been paid in terms of external debt and interest payments.
