Oil prices slide as Venezuela crisis shakes global markets

ISLAMABAD: Following the political crisis in Venezuela and the recent situation, oil prices have been recorded in the global market.

Brent crude oil prices fell by 0.63% in the Asian market, after which Brent crude oil is being sold at $ 60.37 per barrel.

Similarly, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices have been recorded to fall by 0.70%, after which the price of WTI crude oil has reached $ 56.92 per barrel.

On the other hand, President Nicolas Maduro has been arrested and transferred to New York by plane after the US attack on Venezuela two days ago.

According to reports, President Nicolas Maduro will be presented in a New York court today where he will be tried on charges related to drug trafficking and terrorism.

Political uncertainty and tensions in the region are causing fluctuations in global energy markets.
