Oil prices surge as Trump’s 48‑hour ultimatum sparks market rally

TEHRAN: Oil prices have risen again on the 48-hour ultimatum to deal with Iran and open the Strait of Hormuz. US WTI crude oil rose 11.41 percent to $111.54 per barrel.

Similarly, British Brent crude oil is trading at $109.24 per barrel, up 7.78 percent in the last 24 hours. It should be noted that a statement by the US President also affects global oil prices.
