ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a major reduction in petroleum prices, providing significant relief to consumers across the country.
According to the latest notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 4 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) unchanged at Rs380 per litre.
The reduction comes amid favorable trends in international oil markets and is expected to lower transportation costs and ease inflationary pressure on the public.
The revised prices will take effect from the upcoming fortnightly pricing cycle. Officials said the move aims to pass on the benefits of lower global oil prices to consumers and support economic activity.
The new petroleum rates will remain in force until the next review by the government.
