Price of Gold rises by Rs 3,500 per tola

KARACHI: 24 carat gold was sold for Rs220,300 per tola on Saturday, up Rs3,500 from the previous trading day when it was sold for Rs216,800.

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the cost of 10 grams of 24 karat gold grew by Rs3,001 to Rs188,872 from Rs185,871, while the cost of 10 grams of 22 carat gold increased to Rs173,132 from Rs170,382.

The price of 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs25.72 to Rs2,229.08, while the price of a tola of silver jumped by Rs30 to Rs2,600. According to the Association, the price of gold on the global market rose by $36 to $2,103 from $2,067.

Note: It is pertinent to mention that the price of gold in Pakistan fluctuates several times per the international market, so the cost is never fixed. Local gold markets and Sarafa Markets of various cities provide the above rates.
