Punjab govt increases lifetime token on Alto, other 600cc cars; Check latest rate here

LAHORE: The Punjab government has increased the token tax rate on all vehicles with effect from July 1 (today), 2024.

As per the details, consumers buying cars and other vehicles from the running month will pay higher token tax.

In the Budget 2024-25, which was passed by the provincial assembly last month, lifetime token tax on vehicles with engine capacity of 1000cc has been increased while vehicles with engine capacity above 1000cc will be based on invoice price instead of token tax. will be tested. engine size.

Suzuki Alto has a 660cc engine, so the Excise and Taxation Department collects token tax on it for life.

Previous Token Tax for Suzuki Alto 2024

In previous fiscal year ending on June 31, 2024, the excise department collects Rs15,000 one-time token tax on Suzuki Alto.

New Token Tax Rate for Suzuki Alto in Punjab from July 2024

The government has increased the lifetime token tax on Suzuki Alto by Rs5,000, taking it to Rs20,000 per unit from July 1, 2024 (today).

Other Vehicles with engine capacity up to 1000cc will also pay the token tax under new schedule.
