Punjab Govt introduces customizable vehicle number plate scheme: Details inside

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced a new scheme under which citizens will be able to get number plates of vehicles of their choice.

Personalized number plates will not only give citizens a premium feel but also become their identity.

The Department of Excise and Taxation Punjab has introduced the following three categories for personalized number plates:

Corporate Category

Applicants in this category can get their company name on vehicle number plates. The fixed price of corporate category number plate is Rs 10 million. Additionally, the department will collect a fee for the additional sign.

Gold Category

The applicants in this category can chose three alphabet letters and three numeric for the number plates. For example “ABC 123”.

Platinum Category

Under this category, citizens can choose up to eight characters. It can be your name or your love ones name. The price for the Platinum category number plate is Rs5 million.
