KARACHI: The Sindh government has taken an important step to resolve issues related to outstanding salaries, allowances and annual increments faced by government employees.

According to sources, the Finance Department has decided to resolve outstanding dues and other financial demands received from government employees on priority basis. The government is of the view that many employees could not get their salaries, allowances and increments paid on time due to various legal and administrative complications, due to which they are facing financial difficulties.

A three-member high-level committee has been formed for the same purpose. The committee has been entrusted with the chairmanship of the Director of the Finance Department, while the Internal Auditor and Assistant Director Admin Finance have also been made its members. The committee will conduct a detailed review of all pending cases related to financial claims, allowances and increments and will take immediate decisions after reviewing their legal status.

The Finance Department says that the main objective of the committee is to eliminate legal complications in financial matters and dispose of such cases as soon as possible so that government employees can get their legitimate financial rights in a timely manner. This step will not only restore the confidence of employees but also bring transparency and speed in departmental affairs.

According to officials, the committee will submit its recommendations to the concerned authorities after formulating them, on the basis of which the process of payment of outstanding salaries, allowances and increments will be expedited.
