Transport fares increased amid hike in petroleum prices

ISLAMABAD: Transporters also increased their fares due to the increase in diesel prices by the government for the next fortnight.

After the increase in diesel prices by transporters, fares from Lahore to various cities were increased by up to seventy rupees.

Lahore to Bahawalpur by 50 rupees, Multan by 40 rupees, while Lahore to Dera Ghazi Khan is by 70 rupees.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the current price of petrol remains at Rs 265.45 per liter, the new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs 284.44 per liter, and the new prices of petroleum products have been implemented immediately.
