ISLAMABAD: A blow to inflation-weary Pakistanis as petrol prices are expected to increase from September 16, 2025, amid changes in global oil prices.
According to media reports, the price of petrol is likely to increase by Rs 1.54 per liter, taking the new price to Rs 266.15 per liter. The price of high-speed diesel, which is used in the transport and agriculture sectors, could increase by Rs 4.79 per liter from Rs 274.78 per liter.

Other fuels won’t be spared either: kerosene oil may rise by Rs3.06 per liter to Rs179.87, while light diesel oil, crucial for industrial machinery, is likely to jump Rs3.68 per liter, reaching Rs163.44.
