ISLAMABAD: Preparations for reshuffle in the federal cabinet have been intensified, and the possibility of change in important ministries is being expressed.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has intensified the consultation process on the expansion of the cabinet and the change of portfolios, some ministers will be replaced while the portfolios of many will be changed.
Sources also say that the inclusion of new faces in the federal cabinet is also being considered, new faces from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be included in the cabinet.
According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is consulting with the political leadership regarding increasing the representation of coalition parties, Balochistan Awami Party and MQM have also been indicated to be given more representation in the federal cabinet.
According to government sources, the final decision regarding the reshuffle in the federal cabinet is expected in the next few days, the changes in the cabinet will be formally announced after the Prime Minister’s approval.
