Wheat & flour prices increase in Pakistan after sugar hike

ISLAMABAD: After sugar, the prices of wheat and flour also increased suddenly, which put a new burden of inflation on the people here on Sunday.

According to a report from Karachi, the price of wheat has increased from Rs 55 to Rs 72 per kg, while the prices of flour have also seen a sharp increase.

In the wholesale market, the price of Dahai flour has increased by Rs 15 per kg, while the price of fine flour has increased by Rs 9 per kg.

As a result, now Dahai flour is being sold at Rs 81 per kg and fine flour at Rs 87 per kg in wholesale.

The chairman of the Wholesale Grocers Association has demanded that the government take immediate notice of this increase in the prices of wheat and flour.

Earlier, Dahai flour was available in wholesale markets at Rs 66 and fine flour at Rs 78 per kg.

Prices have also increased in the retail sector. The price of curd flour has increased by Rs. 6 per kg and the price of fine flour has increased by Rs. 8 per kg.
