LAHORE: Due to further increase in wheat price per maund, flour price also increased. Wheat and flour prices continue to increase, where a 20 kg bag of flour has become expensive by Rs 50.
According to the Grocery Merchants Association, a 20 kg bag of flour is being supplied by mills for Rs 2,100, while the same bag is being sold to citizens for Rs 2,150.
The association says that mills are not providing a 10 kg bag of flour, due to which consumers are facing difficulties, on the other hand, a 15 kg bag of flour is being sold in the market for Rs 1,600 to 1,700.
According to sources, the price of wheat per maund in Lahore has increased to Rs 4,000, which is also affecting the prices of flour.
