All educational institutions in Islamabad to remain closed on May 9, 10 amid rising tensions

ISLAMABAD: Amid the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, the federal government has announced that all public and private schools and colleges will remain closed.

According to a notification issued by the District Magistrate, all public and private schools will remain closed in Islamabad on May 09 and 10, 2025 (Friday-Saturday).

Earlier,the government of Punjab has announced closing all the province’s educational institutes till Sunday, according to the education minister.

This decision applies to both the province’s public and private institutions. The same directive extends to colleges and universities, which will also remain closed until Sunday.
