QUETTA: Due to undue circumstances, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE)  has postponed the forthcoming inter exams for three weeks.

According to the notification released by the board chairman’s office, “Due to some unavoidable circumstances, the captioned exam starting from 22 April 2025 throughout Balochistan, is postponed for three weeks. The revised date sheet will be published for the information of all the concerned accordingly.”

However, Some Sources claimed that the exams are being postponed due to the boycott from the teachers’ association

On the other hand, the students were unhappy with the decision and voiced fear that the delay in examinations might damage their admission to medical institutions in the next session.

Moreover, the matric exams in Karachi are set to continue until May 2, according to a senior official from the Department of Universities and Boards.

This delay has implications for the scheduling of intermediate exams, as many exam centers overlap, and intermediate exams cannot commence until the matric exams are completed.

The absence of chairpersons in Karachi and Hyderabad for over a month has hindered administrative decisions, including finalizing exam schedules and setting up examination centers.
