LAHORE: The Department of Education, Punjab, has decided to restore the eighth-grade board exams in Punjab, according to media reports.
A meeting chaired by Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat decided to restore the eighth-grade board exams.
In the meeting, Rana Sikandar Hayat said that he is restoring the board exams for the eighth grade, and the fifth, sixth, and seventh grade exams should be taken as assessment tests.
The provincial education minister directed that the procedure for the internal assessment test be formulated within a month.
In addition, the meeting also decided to make the internal examination system effective from the fifth to the seventh grade.
It should be noted that the eighth-grade board exams were abolished in Punjab 5 years ago.
Earlier, In a recent development, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) Quetta has announced the results for the Class 10 or Secondary Higher School Certificate (SSC Part-II) annual examinations, held earlier this year.
According to the reports, the intermediate part II result has been announced today (July 08) across Balochistan. Students can check their 2025 Class 10 results through the official gazettes published by the BBISE Quetta and other boards soon.
Students can check the results via SMS or visit the official website of the board – https://result.bbiseqta.edu.pk.
