China launches new K-visa for Pakistani students, Check eligibility criteria

BEJIENG: China has made the decision to introduce a new category of visas to entice graduates of science and technology from nearly all over the globe, including Pakistan.

The decision has been approved by the State Council, and Chinese Premier Li Qiang signed the decree to adopt the decision to revise the nation’s regulation on the administration of foreigners’ entry and exit.

The K visa will become a part of China’s regular visa types, which will be offered to worthy young science and technology professionals.

The applicants for this visa have to fulfill the requirements and qualifications as decided by the concerned Chinese authorities and provide supporting documents.

K Visa Launch Date

The new rules on the K visa will become operational from October 1 this year.

The holder of a K visa will enjoy greater convenience in the aspects of the number of entries allowed, the period of validity, and the length of stay, based on data posted on the official website of the State Council.

What Can K visa Holders Do in China?

The holders of K visas can conduct exchanges in education, culture, science, and technology. They will also be permitted to take part in relevant entrepreneurial and business activities.

Eliminating specific age, educational level, and work experience demands, requests for K visas do not need a domestic employer or institution to extend an invitation, and the application process will also be simplified.

Authorities said during the press conference that China’s continued development relies on input from international talent, and in return, the nation provides important opportunities for foreign professionals.

They said the launch of the new visa policy is a phase in a larger national plan to reinforce the scientific and technological human resources in today’s era. The action is aimed at facilitating the entry of young foreign science and technological experts into Chin,a as well as promoting more overseas collaboration and exchange in the areas of science and technology.
