Free Chinese language course announced, Apply now!

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), in collaboration with Shanghai Electric, announces the Free Online Chinese Language Program for Pakistani Engineers commencing on December 1, 2025.

This 12-month course is designed to provide engineers with practical Chinese language skills that will help them to communicate effectively with Chinese companies and collaborate on CPEC projects.

The scheme is targeted towards Pakistani nationals who are PEC-registered engineers and graduates between 2018 and 2025.

Preference will be given to candidates from underprivileged backgrounds. To apply, interested applicants must submit a motivation letter and commit to attending at least 80% of classes, completing daily assignments, and maintaining access to a stable internet connection. The flexible timings allow participation five days a week for about an hour each day.

Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview. The last date for application: November 20, 2025.
