The Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship Program has officially opened applications for the 2026-27 academic year in Dubai. The announcement was made by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
Eligible Emirati students can submit their applications through the Dubai Now app. The deadline for applying is June 30, 2026.
This scholarship program offers 100 fully funded scholarships every year. It is designed for top-performing graduates from both public and private schools in Dubai.
The initiative was launched in 2024 under the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It supports Dubai’s long-term development strategies, including economic and education plans.
The scholarships focus on future-oriented fields. These include computer science, artificial intelligence, business, medicine, law, and social sciences. The aim is to prepare students with strong leadership and technical skills.
According to officials, around 70% of selected students in the first two years joined universities ranked among the top 100 in the world. This shows the program’s strong global impact.
To apply, students must meet certain conditions. They should have completed high school between 2023 and 2026. They must also hold a Dubai family book and should not be receiving any other scholarship.
Applicants must have an admission offer from a recognized university and commit to full-time study abroad.
Officials say the program helps Emirati students gain global exposure. It also builds skills needed to support the UAE’s future growth.
