KARACHI: Following the severe cold wave in Karachi, private schools have recommended opening schools at 9 am till January 31.
The Chairman of All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association has said that the severity of the weather affects the normal life in remote districts of Sindh more. A meeting of the Private Schools Steering Committee should be convened immediately and a new academic calendar should be decided.
The Chairman of All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association demanded that the Sindh Education Minister maintain the opening time of schools at 9 am till January 31 due to the cold.
He said that the specifications of the Uniform Examination Syllabus and papers should be issued soon, there is little time left for the end of the academic year and exams, urgent decisions are needed.
