KARACHI: School students in Karachi, and parts of Sindh, will return to school from January 1, 2025, but the current law and order situation has fueled online rumours.
Several unconfirmed rumours have claimed that schools in Sindh will remain closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. These rumours, which have created confusion among parents and students, suggest that the winter vacations will be extended.
Amidst conflicting claims, the Sindh Education Department officially denied the claims, confirming that schools will reopen as per schedule on January 1, 2025.
Regular classes will resume in all government and private institutions across the province, according to the department, with no changes to the academic calendar.
Authorities have urged the public to ignore rumours and rely on official sources for accurate information. Parents, students and staff are reminded to follow the standard schedule as the winter vacation ends.
