Lahore & Multan Boards to resume exams from tomorrow

LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore and Multan on Sunday announced the resumption of examinations from May 12, 2025, after a brief disruption due to the recent tension across the border.

Controller Examinations Zahid Mian directed all candidates to ensure that they reach their respective examination centres on time with their roll number slips.

According to officials, all education boards across Punjab, including BISE Lahore, will resume the examination process from Monday.

Earlier, the intermediate papers, which were scheduled to start on Friday, May 9, were postponed by BISE Lahore, Multan and other boards in light of the ongoing Indo-Pak tensions.

The Quran translation and ethics papers for intermediate students and the practical examinations for matriculation in computer science and biology were among those postponed.

According to examination authorities, the new dates for the postponed examinations will be announced in due course.

BISE Multan spokesperson said that the theory papers of Intermediate and practical examinations of Matric and all subsequent papers will be as per the date sheet issued earlier. Candidates should appear for the papers from Monday as per their roll number slips. Moreover, Matric students will appear for Chemistry practical and Intermediate students will appear for Mathematics and Biology papers on Monday.
