MDCAT 2024 retake expected date in Islamabad announced

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has finalised the date for the MDCAT 2024 retake in Islamabad, sources told Daily Ausaf.

The MDCAT 2024, in line with Islamabad High Court (IHC) orders, will be held on December 22 in the federal capital.

Sources said that the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZAMBU) will announce the details regarding the roll numbers of candidates and examination centers next week.

As per the initial details, more than 30 examination centers across Islamabad for the test will be established for 17,597 candidates registered for the MDCAT 2024 retake.

Registration for the retake of the admission test has witnessed a drastic decrease as the number fell from 53,105 candidates to 17,597.

In another development, Sukkur IBA University has released the provisional results for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 retake, held on December 8 in six districts of Sindh where more than 38,000 candidates participated.

SIBA Testing Service (STS) conducted the admission tests in Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Sukkur.

According to the details, STS will announce the final result on December 18, 2024, after reviewing the complaints in accordance with the Sindh High Court (SHC) directives.
