Social media was filled with the news of the closure of the schools on Thursday and Friday; however, authorities have slammed the messages as completely false and misleading.

The Sindh School Education Department advised children and their parents to disregard unapproved posts and only follow verified notifications. Meanwhile, residents are asked to use great caution when crossing wet roadways during the continuous heavy rains.
