Punjab announces revised school timings after Eid

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Department has announced revised school timings, which will begin from April 7 to October 15. Single-shift schools will start at 8:00 AM and end at 1:30 PM, with Friday’s dismissal time being noon.

Double-shift schools will have their first shift from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM and likewise will end at noon on Fridays. The second shift will start at 1:00 PM and end at 5:30 PM for all other weekdays, with 2:30 PM starting time on Fridays.

Schools and colleges across Punjab will also observe Eid-u-Fitr holidays, which will take effect from March 28 to April 6, before the new timings are implemented.

Annual results for government schools will be announced on April 4. The new academic year is slated to begin on April 7, when students will be promoted to their new grades, as mentioned by Punjab Schools Secretary relative to Khalid Wattoo.
