Punjab finalizes winter school timings, awaits CM’s approval

LAHORE: The School Education Department Punjab has finalized the new schedule for schools across the province for the upcoming winter season.

According to sources, the revised timetable has been sent to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for approval.

Under the proposed schedule, schools will start at 8:30 am and close at 2:30 pm. Once the winter timetable is implemented,

Officials said that all schools will continue to have a Saturday holiday.

The new timings are expected to come into effect from October 20 after the formal approval of the Chief Minister.

Earlier, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat had posted on Facebook seeking public opinion on the matter, “What should be the timings of winter schools?”
