Punjab govt announces new budget for Autism school

LAHORE: The Punjab government has made a commendable effort to facilitate the education and training of special children by allocating Rs. 48 crores for the Punjab Autism School and Resource Center.

As quoted from sources within the concerned department, the budget approved will span from December 2025 to June 2026 and encompass educational events, administration, and other spending deemed necessary.

The budget also allocates funds for the salaries of 164 newly approved positions, whose approval has already been obtained from the Board of Governors.

The officials said that the remuneration for the new jobs will be introduced once the Selection Board approves the offers.
