LAHORE: The Punjab Education Department has issued an official notification that establishes new school operating hours, which will affect all public and private schools throughout the province from April 1 to April 15, 2026.

The new schedule will establish regular school operations, which will begin at 8:45 AM and end at 1:30 PM until the department issues its next official announcement, which will specify the spring session schedule.

The provincial government established the new timing schedule to support educational institutions, which will resume classes on April 1 through their five-day in-person schedule after the schools ended operations because of economic and energy-related disruptions.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat declared that all schools in the province will reopen on April 1 to provide five-day weekly classes to students.

The provincial government has denied the hybrid system proposal, which would have restricted class attendance to three or four days while confirming that academic activities will proceed according to a five-day schedule.

All students, parents, and school staff members must observe the revised schedule while they wait for additional instructions from the education authorities.
