Punjab govt announces winter vacation for schools

LAHORE: The government of Punjab has announced the official schedule for winter vacations in schools, here on Thursday.

As per the details, the break will begin on December 20, 2024, and will last until January 10, 2025, during which students and staff will get 20 days of leave.

Secretary Khalid Nazir Wattoo stressed the importance of maintaining a balanced academic calendar and said that the same dates will apply to both government and private schools in Punjab.

Schools will reopen on January 11, 2025, on the occasion of the resumption of regular classes.

Teachers are expected to focus on reviewing the curriculum, preparing students for upcoming exams, and helping them stay on track with assignments.
