Pakistan introduces fast-track passport service for 48-hour delivery

LAHORE: The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports offers fast track services for issuing passports to those who want to obtain a travel document within 48 hours.

The other two categories offered by the Directorate for issuing passports include General and Urgent. The fee structure and passport delivery time for the three categories are different.

In the General category, the travel document is issued within 21 working days while in the Urgent category it takes five days.

However, if you apply under the Fast Track category, the Directorate provides the passport within two working days. The fee for this category is much higher than the other two.

Fast Track Passport Fees 2024

As of December 2024, the fee for a 36-page passport for 5 years is Rs 12,500, while the fee for a 10-year passport is set at Rs 16,200.

The fee for a 72-page passport with a validity of five years is Rs 18,500 while the price for a 10-year validity is Rs 25,200. Meanwhile, a 100-page passport with a validity of 10 years will cost the applicant Rs 32,000.
