LAHORE: The government of Punjab has established a complaint cell for schools to ensure the availability of basic facilities to the students.
Rs 110 billion will be spent on the provision of the facilities, including clean drinking water, toilets, electricity, and boundary wall, and well-furnished classrooms
A designated complaint number will be provided to contact the authorities and report the lack of the above-mentioned facilities in the schools. The education department has ensured that swift action will be taken to provide all the necessities.
This project aims to raise the standard of government schools and provide students with a safe, hygienic, and conducive environment for learning.
Earlier, the Education Minister of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, announced on Tuesday that the summer vacations for educational institutes will begin on May 28.
The statement comes in reaction to the province’s worsening heatwave, and Hayat emphasized the government’s concern for the safety and well-being of students and staff in the midst of the extreme heat.

The new school hours will be 7:30 am to 11:30 am. This change is intended to guarantee that students are dismissed before the hottest period of the day.
