LAHORE: It was reported on Friday that online registration of attendance of students and teachers has been made mandatory in government schools across Punjab.
Students and teachers who do not register their attendance online will be considered absent. Strict action will be taken against those who do not update data on the School Information System.
The Punjab Education Department has ordered all CEOs to ensure 100 percent data update. The Education Secretary expressed concern over the non-timely uploading of student admissions and attendance records. It has been made mandatory to upload the complete attendance record of students and teachers on SES. T
he last date for updating complete data on SES issued by April 20. Action will be taken against those who provide incorrect or incomplete data under the PEDA Act. If errors are found during the visits of monitoring teams, head teachers will also be responsible.
