LAHORE: The Punjab Education Department has announced the official dates for summer vacations 2025, providing relief to students amid another heat wave.

During summer holidays, students get a break from school, spending time with relatives or pursuing hobbies. Many cities (like Lahore and Karachi) also host colorful cultural festivals or food fairs to fill up the summer.

Equally, many people use vacations for spiritual reflection or learning pursuits. Families often go to the northern regions like Murree, Swat, and Hunza to escape the side effects of a long, hot summer.

The Punjab government has also announced the schedule for summer vacations, starting as early as June 1, 2025. According to the schedule, summer holidays will be from June 1, 2025 Sunday to August 9, 2025.

Authorities made this decision because of rising temperatures and climate issues. Authorities have commented that if temperatures increase dangerously in the coming days, the holidays might begin a week early to reduce damage to our students, teachers, and the curtains behind the table.
