KARACHI: The Sindh government has approved a complete fee waiver for students of class 11 and 12 who enrolled under the Karachi Inter Board during the last seven years, covering the academic years from 2017-18 to 2023-24.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Sindh Cabinet Sub-Committee on Finance, which was attended by Nasir Hussain Shah and Zia Lanjar.
The committee approved the release of Rs1.27 billion to pay the outstanding dues of the Karachi Inter Board.

According to the data presented in the meeting, 692,000 students were registered with the board during the seven-year period and 1.213 million students appeared for the examinations during this period. The government’s action ensures that no fees will be charged to these students.
