Sindh govt orders students to return free textbooks

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has established a requirement for schools to retrieve free textbooks from students after they finish their annual examination tests.

The provincial education department spokesperson explained that students must return textbooks, which need to be documented on their result cards, together with a complete record of all books that were issued and returned.

The spokesperson explained that schools must protect their book banks by securing all collected books in safe storage. The department has directed schools to retrieve textbooks from every student who attends primary through higher secondary classes.

The Regional Directors have received a request from District Education Officers to provide their stock records.
