The Sindh Education Department has announced the official dates for summer vacations 2025, providing relief to students amid another heat wave.

All public and private schools will take summer vacation in 2025 from June 1 to July 31, and officials have dispelled rumors that kids will get an early holiday because of the heat.

In the meantime, experts continue to warn of the growing effects of global warming. Pakistan is listed as one of the countries most exposed and vulnerable to climate change.

Changing weather patterns and an increased number of natural disasters have prompted the education and health departments to act.

During summer holidays, students get a break from school, spending time with relatives or pursuing hobbies. Many cities (like Lahore and Karachi) also host colorful cultural festivals or food fairs to fill up the summer.

Equally, many people use vacations for spiritual reflection or learning pursuits. Families often go to the northern regions like Murree, Swat, and Hunza to escape the side effects of a long, hot summer.
