LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced the schedule of admission to public sector medical colleges in Punjab and the process is all set to start from this week of January, 2025.
As per the instructions of the Punjab Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), the admissions would be purely made on merit in a very transparent manner.
The online applications for MBBS courses in government medical colleges will be invited from January 6 to January 15, thus giving a 10-day window to aspiring students for submitting their applications.
The first merit list pertaining to MBBS admissions shall be displayed on January 23, which would give students an idea about the chance of getting a seat in one of the prestigious government medical colleges in Punjab.
Apart from the MBBS, admissions to the government dental colleges in Punjab would also entertain online applications for BDS on different schedules. The online application portal shall be opened for BDS courses with effect from February 3 up to February 11, and the first merit list shall be displayed on February 20th.
This, in turn, will give an idea to aspirants of dentistry as a career about their merit prospects for admissions to government dental colleges in Punjab. It is worth mentioning here that the candidates can apply to the MBBS and BDS programs on the online admission portal provided on the UHS website. This has made the process quite easy and accessible.
The online admission portal has been a huge improvement over the traditional paper-based application process, with reduced chances of errors and delays, while students have been facilitated with a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Students will also be able to check the status of their applications online, as their applications will be submitted online, and they will receive updates on the admission status, reducing anxiety and uncertainty.
In sum, the admission process to public sector medical colleges in the Punjab is designed to be fair, transparent, and merit-based, and the UHS is committed to ensuring the process is conducted in a smooth and efficient manner.
