Election 2024: 26 more National and Provincial Seats Results Withhold amid Rigging Claims

Islamabad: The final results of a total of 26 seats of the National and Provincial Assemblies were withheld. In the Election Commission, a hearing was held on the applications related to electoral results, in which 2 benches were formed. Bench number one included member Sindh Nisar Durrani and member Balochistan Shah Muhammad Jatoi while bench number two included member Punjab Babar Hassan Bharwana and member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ikramullah Khan.

Member Nisar Durrani said that” the one who lost is celebrating and the one who won is making accusations of rigging, how long will this attitude last?” Losing and winning is the beauty of democracy. On the other hand, Election Commission has declared PB 14 Naseerabad, PB 44 Quetta, PP 33 Gujarat, PP 126 Jhang and PP 128 Jhang, PP 7 Sargodha, PP 133 Nankana Sahib, Final result released in PP 15 Rawalpindi, PP 43 Mandi Bahauddin, PP 12 Rawalpindi, PP 53, PP 4 Attock, PP 121 Toba Tek Singh, PP 279 Leh, PP 17 Rawalpindi and PP 6 Murree were withheld.

To release the final results of NA 56 Rawalpindi, NA 53 Rawalpindi, NA 60 Jhelum, NA 69 Mandi Bahauddin, NA 57 Rawalpindi, NA 52 Rawalpindi, NA 126 Lahore, NA 127 Lahore and NA 87 Khushab. The Special Secretary Election Commission said that the returning officers have issued the final results in most of the constituencies.

Barring the results at this point will delay the next phase. Lawyer Babar Awan said that the election that was held on February 8 was fixed but what happened on February 9 was not complained to the Election Commission. Having given punishments, it is not enough to simply withhold results, strict action should be taken against the returning officer who violates the oath.

Babar Awan demanded a recount of votes in NA-106 Toba Tek Singh, to ensure transparency and release the results as per the public mandate, on which the Election Commission withheld the final results in NA 106 Toba Tek Singh and sought a report from the Returning Officer. Lee.
