Election 2024: Uninterrupted Internet access on Election day assures PTA

ISLAMABAD: To soothe fears and provide clarity on the situation, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released a statement in response to mounting concerns surrounding possible internet shutdowns on election day.

There are no intentions to disable the internet on the day of the approaching election, the government has made that clear through the PTA. Customers can anticipate that internet services will be available continuously for the duration of the election process.

In a public address, the PTA restated that on election day, internet facilities will be fully functioning, guaranteeing that consumers can continue to use online services without any interruptions. Additionally, the PTA guarantees that there won’t be any disruptions or downtime to the internet system’s operation.
