Because the new federal administration is about to be sworn in, acting prime minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has halted official work and returned all summaries that were awaiting his approval.

According to Kakar, all outstanding choices and summaries will now be postponed until the next administration. He said, “We are just waiting on the inauguration of the new government.” “In addition, we will furnish the incoming administration with an extensive overview of our undertakings and initiatives.”

President Dr. Arif Alvi’s refusal to approve the National Assembly’s first session on Sunday sparked controversy because the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) was not given the reserved seats. Following the entry of independent candidates connected to the PTI into the SIC last week, the relatively unknown political organization became the dominant force in both the National Assembly and the Punjab province legislature.

The PML-N contended that the NA speaker may call the meeting on her own after the deadline of February 29 expired, which led to an intensified impasse. A former employee of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) refuted this claim, nevertheless.

President Alvi had received a brief from the interim minister of parliamentary affairs advocating the start of the NA session on Monday.

President Alvi expressed worries about the completion of the reserved seat distribution process and used his constitutional right to postpone the session by 15 days in spite of the petition.
